Derco Grizzly, Achiever Combustor Guide

Derco made two models of stove, the Grizzly and Achiever.

Both these stoves use a combustor that is 7 inches round x 2 inches thick, with 16 cells per square inch and wrapped with a stainless-steel "can."

This is Condar number CC-100.

Technical Notes

All these stoves use "canned" combustors, that is, they are banded first in expanding CatGard gasket and then in stainless steel. Canned combustors generally do not need additional gasket. If your combustor has gasket between the combustor and the stove, you can order gasket here.

Catalytic Thermometers

Condar makes thermometers specifically for monitoring the performance of your catalytic combustor. Visit www.condar.com/cat_meters_woodstoves.html for more information.

We market replacement catalytic combustors and CatGard gasket, but do not offer other replacement parts for Derco stoves.

If an error is discovered in this information, or you have additional helpful information about the installation of replacement catalytic combustors in your woodstove, please feel free to contact Carolyn Greene, Plant Manager at Condar’s factory in North Carolina.
