Combustor Guide
Prior to ordering a new combustor for your Vermont Castings woodstove, remove the old combustor and verify the dimensions to ensure that you are ordering the correct size. Note: The dimensions of Condar combustors may differ slightly from the existing combustor in your stove. Keep in mind that unless these dimensions differ significantly, stove performance will not be impacted.

IMPORTANT: THESE COMBUSTORS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE VERMONT CASTINGS 2 IN 1 (FLEXBURN) DEFIANT AND ENCORE STOVES. The "thin" one-inch thick combustors for "Two-in-One" catalytic/non-catalytic Encore and Defiant models are still under the original manufacturer's warranty. Therefore, at this time, Condar doesn't offer replacement "thin" combustors.

Our thicker combustors won't fit the newest "Two-in-One" woodstoves. Please see your authorized Vermont Castings retailer if you need a "thin" combustor.

All Condar replacement combustors offered on this page are "thick" 2-inch dimension.

Canned Combustors and Gasket

All these stoves use "canned" combustors, that is, they are banded first in expanding CatGard gasket and then in stainless steel. Canned combustors generally do not need additional gasket but our 6-inch round CC-001 comes wrappped with extra gasket outside the can at no extra charge. If your combustor needs extra gasket between the combustor and the stove, order gasket here (opens in a new window).

“I live in the mountains of Southwestern Montana in a house that's around 3000 square feet, mostly open design. With a new SteelCat combustor installed in my Blaze King KEJ-1102, I'm keeping the main living area of the house at 75 degrees with the stove at its lowest setting. And now I'm getting more than 24 hours of burn-time with a normal load of wood. This stove has NEVER worked so well! I showed my neighbor, who also owns a Blaze King, and he immediately ordered a SteelCat for his stove. The amount of wood and labor I'll save will pay for the new combustor very quickly. Thank you very much for the great product and service.”

“Got the new Blaze King combustor you sent and it fits perfectly. I just fired up the stove and wow what a difference! It's burning absolutely clean after just 15 minutes, and even set on the lowest air settings is burning hot. Your product is just absolutely awesome!”
