Condar Thermometers
Using a thermometer will help keep your wood stove in a safe operating range and avoid damage. Condar recommends using a catalytic probe thermometer if your wood stove is compatible. Thermometer probes or coils can wear down over time. It is important to replace your wood stove thermometer every time you replace your catalyst.
Condar's innovative catalytic probe thermometers measure gas temperatures right after the gas passes through the combustor so the temperatures reflect the combustor's temperature. An
indispensable tool for efficient wood stove operation, our thermometer signals when to switch off bypass, and when to reduce
fire to prevent damage to combustor.
Catalytic probe thermometers
If you do not have a port for a catalytic thermometer you can use a stove top thermometer that attaches magnetically to the top surface of the stove. The ' target zone' is designated. Note that this measures the temperature readings of the stove and is not specifically calibrated for reading a catalytic combustor's temperature.
Stove top thermometers
In lieu of a stove top thermometer you can use a stovepipe thermometer that attaches magnetically to a single-wall stovepipe. A 'target zone' is designated. Note that this measures the temperature readings of the stovepipe and is not specifically calibrated for reading a catalytic combustor's temperature.
